Barclaycard Min Payment Debacle - Advice Needed

All,
Looking for a wee bit of advice
Back in June, Barclaycard notified me of suspicious transactions on my credit card.
They then asked me to review 12 months statements and let them know of anything suspicious and they would investigate
I duly requested copy statements via there Customer Services. Unfortunately these foreign ladies and gentlemen had really serious issues understanding the situation and on at least 10 seperate occasions over a 3 month period sent me the wrong statements (they generally only sent the previous month).
Whilst this was going on the minimum payment on my card had trebled due to the fraudulently increased balance. As such I was advised by Fraud not to pay until they had sorted out the balance and charges etc
I then complained to Barclays abt the statement situation which they upheld and apologised to me (I have the letter) and sent the statements.
This happened last month so the money was duly refunded.
I believed all was well until this months statement came in and they have bundled all 4 months non-payments (which I was told weren't being calculated as the account was officially on hold pending the fraud investigation).
Basically they are looking for nearly £500 instead of the regular £50 or they will involve Mercers (there Debt Collector) who were already plaguing me weekly despite the account being on hold and despite Fraud continually telling me it was nothing to be concerned about. They told me that Customer Collections was overseas (India I would say) and that they didn't understand the process and always did this.
I am now at the end of my tether and getting concerned. Any advice on what I should say to Barclays (preferably by letter as without sounding bad the foreign customer service is pointless and cause the bother in the 1st place) would be very much appreciated.
