A little bump for those that missed it first time round.
Have been informed from my sources that the following super 6 deals are happening.
W/C 24th February for 2 weeks.
Little Gem Lettuce x 2
Spring Onions x Bunch
Lemons x 3
Chanteney Carrots ( size unknown)
White Cabbage.
Celery
All at 39p.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
W /C 10th March For 2 weeks.
Parsnips . x 500gms
Leeks. x 3
New potatoes . x 500 gms
Brown onions x 1kg
Carrots x 1kg ( regular carrots)
Broccoli x 500gms
All at 49P
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing too exciting sadly but some salad/coleslaw recipes for the first 2 weeks, followed by veggie soup or slow cooker recipes for second 2 weeks are always welcome."Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

I called in Aldi yesterday for the Super 6 , my review follows .
Little Gem Lettuce x 2. Dried up, limp and only good for the rabbits !
Spring Onions x Bunch. I have seen thicker pencil leads, also very limp !
Lemons x 3 . Dried up and many showing signs of mold !
Chanteney Carrots ( size unknown) . About the size of the top joint of my little finger and many going black !
White Cabbage. Roughly the size of a baseball !
Celery . Tiny and limp !
Aldi used to be slightly better on quality than Lidl but I was disgusted at what was on offer today !0 -
Ours are very hit and miss. I must admit I tend only to get what I would need on that day or the following day as they just don't last. You do have to be very selective. X0

On Monday I bought:
Little gem lettuce, this is something I buy regularly and these seemed larger than the usual. Anyway have now eaten one of them and the other is still fine.
Spring onions, I suppose it depends on what you want, I don't need huge fat ones, and these were fine for my purposes, but definitely not tiny either - they have stayed fresh and crunchy.
Didn't buy lemons as still have some from the last offer, I always slice and freeze them so the keeping quality doesn't matter.
Wouldn't buy little carrots and had infuriatingly bought white cabbage the week before.
Bought 2 heads of celery, these are strong and crunchy, though not as large as the one I bought last week at the normal price. Have eaten some in salad, the rest will be chopped and frozen with onions, carrots, garlic in a stew pack today.
The pineapple from last week is half eaten, the rest will be chopped and frozen, I also still have a couple of kiwis which were quite hard when I bought them so will eat them in fruit salad today.
You need to check them over when you buy them then store them properly at home (take out of plastic bag etc) but to be honest I've rarely had a duff batch - and no more frequently than when I used to use the big supermarkets.
So perhaps it depends where your store is in the delivery schedule , mine were bought in Leek.

i agree with the poster that said the quality can be hit and miss....before christmas the quality of the 39p sprouts was fab..then i went to buy for christmas lunch and i didnt bother as they were brown in the bag...shammy that sounds grim that every product was manky i shall have a look next week and see how they are at our store....would it be worth trying another store i wonder ?onwards and upwards0

Hi
The quality of the sweet potatoes and normal potatoes are really good at my local Aldi but I bought a butternut squash when it was on the super six deal recently and it really didnt taste right so I ended up throwing half of it out. Off to do a shop this afernoon
