Yep they are large onions :D Dont see a weight on it but they are deffo large

Thanks, I'll look tomorrow and report back the weight if not reported.

UPDATE: They were approx. 1kg in weight, so around 21p per pound is not too bad.

Don't get me wrong when you read this, I love Aldi's discounted fruit and veg, and I shop there loads for the exceptional value, but I have an issue with SOME of the produce, and I was wondering if anyone else experiences this, namely...

I select a nice Mango, 49p, they're all quite firm, so I leave it to ripen, and BAM... It's gone rotten before actually being ripe enough to eat?

Also, for the same price per pound you can buy Aldi's superior quality new potatoes... And they are really yummy!

I must admit I tend to avoid their Kiwi fruit, which never seem to ripen for me but remain rock hard.

Yes I've had the same problem with mangoes from Aldi and Lidl. Sometimes they ripen but often just start going rotten while the rest of the mango is unripe. I've tried storing them in a cool garage and the fruit bowl and it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Same for me with avocadoes. I've tried all of the little tricks (place in a paper bag with a banana) and all of the other tips, they just seem to go from hard as rock to rotting mulch, I've given up now and just buy them from Tesco / Asda.
