***** Aldi super six offers *****

I dropped into Aldi for the first time in years this week as I was passing through with someone else, and was amazed at the quality of the produce. I am a definite convert, I think I can get 85% of my food shopping (which is admittedly not very much) from Aldi and Lidl now, the rest from the market. The big 5 can take a hike as far as I am concerned.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Agree totally! I'm only using Mr T or Mr S for top ups or if there is a really good deal. I'm waiting to see the Super 6 before meal planning for the week. Fingers crossed it's a good selection as the last lot wasn't quite so good.0 -

Meh - could be worse but could be a whole lot better. Can't see myself making a special trip
Be careful on the spuds - Whenever I have bought potatoes from Aldi they have been terrible.0 -
I've stopped buying Aldi's tomatoes (both types) and Satsumas due to the poor state of the fruit. Quite often bruised and signs of mould already developing in the stock on the shelves.
I thought it may just be a one off at the store I use but having found the same problems at two other Aldi stores over the same period of time, it looks like it's a problem common to all stores.
All the rest of the fruit and veg is good though and the low price of broccoli is really good.0 -
I have bought from both Aldi and Lidl and while Lidl is always fresh and very good value the stuff I've bought from Aldi has been dreadful:( I even paid full price for a net of oranges(not a super 6) which when I cut into were totally dry and I mean totally dry, onions have been squishy and while some other things like sausage rolls biscuits are lovely I refuse to buy ANY of their fruit and veg0
