I called into today for my usual supply of 6 pints of milk x2 and collect 2 pack of apples and 1 net of oranges they all had 6 in so good value and not a good size too.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)
  • Thanks for posting the S6 for this period, redfox

+1 for the oranges being excellent value for money. Each of the bags that we have bought have had 6 fruit in (noticed a couple of 7 fruit packs today, but majority 6), and have been sweet, juicy and delicious. I even had one fruit that was so easy to peel, that had it been sold in our local - usually overpriced, but occasionally competitive - Greengrocers, it would have been termed a 'Minneola' and cost about 50p for 1 fruit!

:T Bravo Al-diddly-dee for making good fruit affordable :D

I've just noticed that the apples I picked up on Thursday were actually Royal Galas, and I was charged £1.19! Wish I'd noticed at the time! I got them from the Super 6 section, so maybe they put the wrong ones out...

Quite often that happens because someone picks up the alternative (royal galas in this case), then dumps them when they spot the better Super 6 offer. Extremely annoying, I know!

I did wonder if that might've been the case, but I picked up a few bags deciding which one to get, and I don't remember thinking the others were different apples! I may be mistaken of course!

Aldi is slow to update the website (I checked it just now and it still had the previous offers listed). However I can't complain about leeks and kiwis :) .

The Thursday Specialbuys are such a weird mishmash this week!

  • I got four rather past their best leeks yesterday for 59p and made two huge pots of soup which will do me for at least a week :):):)
  • The leeks were 56p on Monday though...
