Help, advice needed (A&L)...........

hi there
just wondering if someone can advise me please.

I received a letter in September confirming that A&L would be paying me back £1600 in PPI from an old loan I had with them in 2003.

In 2006 i entered into a trust deed (scottish) and A&L were one of the companies included in this. The TD is now complete and I have been discharged.

Now, today and over several weeks I have been in touch with A&L regards where my cheque is and now I have received a message on my voicemail saying that they are sending me out a letter re my claim for PPI.

What Im trying to say is that, Im worried that they have now changed their mind - can they do this when they have sent an official letter stating they are going to payout???

Apparently there is a letter in the post for me which I hope to recieve tomorrow.

Can anyone advise me, worried now!

    Hi hun

I don't think they will change their minds and they should not change their minds, if they did do this then I would defo complaint to the FOS.
And its in writing about the payout as well.

Good luck with this and please let us know how you get on.;)

  • thanks Di,
have got my xmas list at the ready aswell!!

Will let you know, if I dont recieve the letter tomorrow, I will be phoning them.

Its the whole thing with the trust deed that is concerning me, but I had the loan for 3 years before I entered into the TD.

    Fingers crossed.
    thanks again for your advice
