Me and dh have just watched this as we usually do and saw the event next year and would love to go..infact it is very likely we will book to go but was wondering how people usually do these sorts of days..
Is it best to book tickets then sort transport/hotel etc afterwards to avoid missing out OR is there anywhere that does packages with travel etc? have googled but couldn't find much..
thanks for any help.

Just wanted to add we have booked it all..staying near the NEC fri night when we get up there, then going to the show on the sat then staying again in a hotel sat night then not sure sunday!..does anyone know roughly how far and easy it is to get to the city centre from the NEC?

Hi, just saw your post. It's really easy to get to Birmingham centre from NEC. NEC actually has its own train station, and you can jump on that and I think New St is the next stop, which is in the city centre. Also very easy to drive into Birmingham from NEC, although parking is expensive (unless you can leave car at you hotel)
Have a fab time, I'm hoping to go myself but tickets a bit pricy!0
