Hi,
I have just viewed my BT bill on line and have found an item listed for £52,27 for a one minute phone call at 11.40pm on 11th August. I`m not sure where this item came from but it could possibly be a reverse charge call my daughter made when backpacking in Australia. Can anyone beat this or have BT got their decimal point in the wrong place?

The fee for a reverse charge call (also known as a "Collect Call") is set by the Telecom company that sets up the call - in this case it would probably be an Australian company. They invoice BT for the call, and BT then bill the number that accepted the incoming call. Some of the charges raised by these companies are sky high, and it would cost less if the caller paid for a very quick call to you, gave you the number they were calling from, and you then called them back. Only problem with this is that some pay phones don't allow incoming calls. The bottom line, therefore, is that the amount BT charged you is outside their control, and is probably correct.
