beware of Travel Guard Insurance

Hi everyone, just wanted to take the time to warn everyone thinking about travel insurance to beware of Travel Guard Insurance. They are truly scammers! They have a ton of paper work to fill out to get a refund, you have to open ALL your records to them, they tell you up front don't even bother calling us for 40 days cause we will not respond. So they take forever to process the claim and dump tons of paper work on you, everything to make you want to just throw up you hands and say forget it! And you better have every receipt, flight number, credit card info, itinerarys, everything and in order or they just throw it out. Then after all that they don't pay, they always have an excuse, and they want top dollar to buy their insurance! So you have been warned! Do not buy their insurance, find another they will take your money and run! If you want to read my story I will include it below.
My father was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. He was treated and the cancer went into remission quickly, the oncologist told him he would have many years and believed the cancer would not return, that he would die of something else, which is the norm for prostrate cancer in late life, it is non aggressive. So when I booked our flight to Alaska, he was in total (documented) remission and was driving himself, alone to Las Vegas for a Bowling Tournament, ( a 13 hour drive). Then on from there to Missouri and then to Iowa then back to Wyoming. Three months later just a week before our flight he got ill and was hospitalized. The cancer had returned with a vengeance, the doctors were astounded, but restarted treatment and said don't worry Prostrate Cancer doesn't leave the bone. Well a few precious months later it spread to his whole body and he passed. That being said Travel Guard told me as long as he was in remission and able to travel at the time the flight was booked it would be covered, however once the claim was filed the said his condition was pre-existing and was not covered. So I asked so you don't really cover ANY pre-existing conditions do you, that means if you are a diabetic or have high blood pressure or have cancer or heart disease or anything wrong with you that you take meds for then don't get this insurance cause they WILL NOT PAY! If you take no med and have not been treated for anything and you get sick then they might, but be warned they are worthless. On a good note the part of the flight I booked on Expedia and insured they reimbursed me the same day no questions asked. Thank you for your time

Erm...not being funny, but are you in the US?If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I thought so, not much point posting that on a UK based consumer site...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
