comparison sites - current tariff absent?
Options
hi,
i've tried to use a few comparison sites, however my current tariff is not listed by either uswitch or moneysupermarket; any ideas what i can do?
for info, i'm with Scottish Power and the tariff was called 'Discounted Energy Online Oct 2009', which has been changed on my latest bill to 'Disc Energy Oct 2009 (extend Apr 2010)'.
thanks,

Hi,
don't think you will get it on a comparison site if it's discontinued, but you will get the prices here, you will need to click on previous products at bottom of product prices.0 -
On Energyhelpline that tariff is listed as simply "Online Discounted Energy"
Once you are through to the results page check the unit rates match up with what you are paying just to be sure though.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Comparison sites show many discontinued tariffs when asking you your current tariff.
e.g. Moneysupermarket have 2 different discounted energy online tariffs for SP, one is marked OLD.
You could try these to see if they reflect your current tariff. Details of your current tariff and how the price is made up should be available once you get comparisons up.
If not, pick any tariff. The cheapest will still be the cheapest available to new customers - just the savings shown may not be correct (because they are based oin more/less than you are currently paying)"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
