If it is a Holiday Club be on your guard. Cannot find anything on them on net. What is their address ? Are they offering a 'Free' holiday. Have you been invited to a presentation ?
If they come from anywere near Exeter they will be scammers.

    Post more details if possible.
In the meantime do not be tempted to hand over any cash or give them CC details.
  • Hidden within Egerton International (EI) web site under Services EI, out of their offices in Portugal they offer to recover monies on behalf of members of holiday clubs. Has anybody out there any experiences (positive or negative) of dealings with EI?

Any firm that offers to get any money back from a Timeshare/ Points must be treated with suspicion especially if they are overseas. You will probably be asked for money upfront and that will be the last you see of it.

If you are wanting out of Timeshare/ Holiday clubs by feeling that it was misold go to the Timeshare Consumers Association site (TCA ) On there you will find a list of companies that compensation claims have been started against. Further advice is also on site. But whatever you do, do not deal with any firms offering to get you out of your membership, they usually want you to join some other club at more expense.

Other sites to look at include; Timesharetalk Forums. On there have a look at shark alley, that tells you all about the latest scams.

Another one with a Timeshare thread is Holiday watchdog.com

At the moment firms are springing up all the time offering to buy or get your money back concerning Timeshare/ Points/ Holiday clubs. Ignore them all as they are scams. Anyone cold calling you it will be a scam. If you are asked to go to a meeting it will be a scam.
Just think, why would anyone want to take my membership of my hands ?

To get more money of you that is the answer.
