I understand your concern but as long as the legal guardian has given permission and is well aware of what is happening then im not breaking the law.And what happens when he's out of the house and at school / after school with his mates? Mobile phones? No one can control their children 24/7 this is why education is the best policy.
And what about the legality of what you are trying to do? It could end up with you in court.
If i was doing it without either of there permission then that would fall foul of the interception laws.0
