in Credit cards
Hey all,
I have the following credit cards:
The Amex card is starting to annoy me with not being accepted in places and so I would like to change it. The idea is that I have two cards, one for business and one for personal. I'd like to get the Barclay Card Cashback card but I understand you can't have two of these Barclay type cards.
Can someone recommend a card to swap to?
Many thanks,
Leon
I have the following credit cards:
- Barclay Card platinum cashback (3% on groceries and 0.5% on everything else)
- Amex platinum cashback

Now I realise I'm replying to my own thread but I've just cancelled my Amex card (I've not used it for a year anyway and am liable to get charged).
The question is now, should I just use the same card for business and personal OR should I invest in another cashback one? (Mastercard or Visa!)0 -
A back-up credit card is a good idea, IMO
Egg Money is popular here.
This table on the stoozing site (which is sponsored by Money Saving Expert) should help:

Moggles - thanks for the response. I think I will obtain another backup credit card. I've looked through the cashback variants and was thinking of obtaining a card that provided certain rewards (e.g. Virgin's credit card that gave money off flights or something like that...)0

Meanwhile, you may want to compare 0% on purchases cards as well. There are some good deals at the mo:

No experience, personally. (Only the hard stuff does it for me. I can never work out what rewards schemes are actually worth.) Perhaps somebody will be along soon that can help.

Upon reviewing the link you posted, I noticed they aren't listing any Sygma cards, which all comes with 0% for 6 months on BT, and 3 months for purchases(on their Silver card).. and perhaps somewhat easier to obtain than other main stream cards I could mention.
Is there a known reason why stoozing.com doesn't list them? or any other credit card comparison website for that matter. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
