redeployed in same dept but now old job is being recreated

After my role was made "redundant", 6 months down the line, the boss has employed a temp to do the same job...albeit under a cloud, i.e. not allowing the temp to use the same title however the temp has told me that the job title advertised was for the same as my previous job. the temp did let slip in an email that she was doing my old job and was told she shouldn't have said the job title as i used to do the same job but "things didn't quite work out" ....where do I stand?
This is so unfair and only goes to prove that this person has harrassed/victimised me and gone to all lengths to get rid of me as an employee.

So the position was made redundant 6 months ago, you are now doing something else, and they needed to refill your old job.

If they thought you were the best person for that job, they would've offered it to you. They didn't, they took someone else that was either/or better/cheaper.

I can't see your right to legally redress that.
  • actually I am doing exactly the same job...it was basically a change from PA to Admnistrator (without the couple of secretarial bits) .... now the boss has taken on someone "to help clear her admin backlog" but the temp has let slip that she has been temporarily employed as her PA.
There is a long history here of the director not liking me full stop. I was "inherited" when she took the job on a couple of years ago. I have worked for the company for 16 years without any problems or concerns about my work. Since she has worked here, she has done everything she can to harass/intimidate and victimise me into leaving, without success. I am not the only one who has been effected. Other colleagues have left/found other jobs because of her intimidating tactics.
