to all you techies out there I hope you can help I have just bought a new Honda Accord with Sat/nav I would like to make a back up copy of the sat/nav disc as the last sat/nav disc we had in our old car ended up playing frisbee with our dog and the kids which they though was hilarious but cost me £100 for a new disc, after looking at the nav disc I see that it has 7gb of info on it so it must be a dual layer, as I havent got a dual layer burner, is there any program out there that could compress the files small enough to be put on a single disc and still be read by the cars dvd player, seem to be a lot of programs for compressing dvd films but not for files any ideas?

Not files no, what you could do is burn a backup image on your pc and when you get hold of a dual layer dvdrw you could burn it on a disc, but its not possible to compress dvd data!
Thanks Tom :-)0
