Egg Merchandise Interest

My Egg card was purely for balance transfers, I have never spent on it.
I have no been charged Merchandise interest. Is this just because the interest offer period has run out? It is a sizeable amount of interest on 4500!

I have had the card since July 2008- when do my anniversary offers kick in? Will I be best paying off the card in full and then transferring a balance to it in my anniversary month?

I am struggling to get control of my credit card debts and then they throw this at me!
CC debt 4389/12000 slowly chipping away helps :j
