Switching suppliers when you owe approx £500

Hi Guys
a really stupid question because of our business not being able to pay any form of salary for 10 months we fell behind with eon. now paying £242.00 per month to include the arrears instead of our original dd of £157.00 pm

can i look at switching suppliers or will that make the situation worse as they will demand full payment?

They will not allow you to leave if you have a debt over 28 days old. It will just get blocked.

    Hi stressed mummy

In most cases, where there is a debt on an account such as the one you describe, we will ask for the immediate payment in full of the outstanding balance on the final bill if you change supplier.

If this is not possible we may well object to you leaving.

However, this is not set in stone as each account is different. It may be a short term payment arrangement can be set up to clear the debt; it depends on the circumstances.

Not promising stressed mummy but definitely worth a call. Ask if we are likely to object. Also ask if you are eligible for a short term payment arrangement.

    Hope this helps. :)
