technical help and customer care is non existent, and I have never come into contact with a company that holds its customers in quite as much contempt.

A month with no service, ten's of pounds of phone bills trying to sort the problem, and still no service.

A really BAD isp.

P.S. Who should i go with instead for all round value for money and quality of service ?

I'm sorry to hear this, Tiscali really are the pits especially when it comes to tech support, and yet people still join them, the power of advertising, I suppose.
Have a look here for comparisions with isps, if you like any, make sure you read their T & C, and their fair use policy, it really is essential. don't believe all their rubbish about "unlimited download" and also go to their forums, and read what thier customers are saying.
