Sydney - Christchurch back via Auckland

I'm trying to self arrange flights in March/April from Sydney to Christchurch and returning from Auckland with budget campervan hire on the 2 islands. Any tips please? I have airmiles for UK - Sydney.
I have tried the budget airlines but they seem to do returns to either destination but not in to one and out the other, and single flights are more expensive.

Look at airnewzealand .... we used them a lot .... they did singles fairly cheap ... cause that is what we booked .... look at
http://www.airnewzealand.co.uk/before-you-fly/route-maps/international-routes/international-routes-asia-australasia.htm
or virgin blue is the other airline ....
look at http://www.virginblue.com.au/Personal/Flightinfo/WhereWeFly/index.htm
this is a map of where virgin blue fly .... maybe could look at changing you itinerary to get a cheaper price?
Are you flying with BA? Could you ring them & see whether they can help?
Or try Qantas ,.... http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/multi-city-flight-search-map/global/en
Hope this helps ....

Thank you one and all for these tips. I'll look at that today. I have also found decent flights through Quidco/Expedia flying by Emirates (good airline) for £237.60 per person. That sounds ok does it?
Edit: Quote above is cheaper than airnewzealand
Transfercar above would be great if you were there and not planning ahead too far but we are seeking a 5 week rental and making plans now for March/April0 -
I booked with Jetstar to christchurch but they fly to auckland - its only with hand luggage and watch the prices are without tax unless requested.Making saving money part of my life.0
