Phone the other day for a surrender value as it stands now and was pleasantly surprised, £32,686. Yes I left mine too for the full 15 years starting with the £50 pm and did start to get a bit concerned when I started reading these stories from 2006.

Mine matures this month at around the 38k which was a nice surprise. I was only expecting around the 20k mark.

I wonder what we would have got if the economy didn't do a nose dive back in 2007.

I say hang in there and see it through the final year.

Probably less as you had enough years to continue to buy after the event.
