Unrecognised transactions on Barclaycard - am I being paranoid?

After a horrendous weekend when I found out that my debit card details had been stolen and over £1k had been withdrawn fraudulently and another £1k+ worth of transactions had been attempted through my current account, I just logged onto my Barclaycard account to see a pending transaction of 86p.
I immediately phoned the Barclaycard number on the back of my card and spoke to a female who was, quite frankly, about as useful as the proverbial chocolate teapot. I was advised that the 86p was a cash withdrawal

but couldn't give me any further details, telling me to call back after the 29th October.
When I asked how a card could be used for an 86p cash withdrawal, she couldn't give me an answer.:mad::mad: I NEVER withdraw cash from a credit card, and am at a loss to understand how such an odd small amount come up as a cash withdrawal.
I'm not prepared to wait a week to find out some other thieving b****** has fleeced this account as well but can't find another telephone number to speak to someone with sense.
Can anyone help pls?
Izzie

They can see more information than that, so it sounds like she was just being a !!!!. I'd try calling back and speak to somebody else if you're trying to clarify what the transaction was for, and if it's valid or not. Various transactions can appear as cash - such as gambling sites. Often a small transaction will be made before many much larger ones, so you're right to be concerned. If when you call back you get another !!!!, then ask to speak to the fraud department.0

Phoned them back, spoke to someone else who said the transaction went through at 10.15 yesterday morning. I was still in bed at the time!!
They've blocked the card at my request just to be on the safe side.
Where the hell do these people get our details from??
ARGH!!!!!!!

Seriously though, I'm totally on the ball about keeping my personal details secure, it does make you wonder how on earth this keeps happening time and time again to so many people.

Doesn't matter how careful you are, you share your card details with every company you buy from, it only takes one corrupt employee.0

I agree, if anyone phones me and asks me to confirm details about myself, I ask them to give me their name and extension number so that I can phone them back at the telephone number as stated on their correspondence etc.... I am shocked at how many people/companies say it doesn't matter and promptly put the phone down!!Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs

I have my bank account cleaned out two weeks ago by someone using my barclays debit card. I have still not had all of my money back.
I am also very careful about where and how I use my card.
good luck in getting your money back.....it may take a while.0
