Transferring money between A&L accounts

I've just obtained a new OnlineSaver Issue 6 account with A&L with a view to transferring funds from my existing Online Tracker A&L account. When I log into my accounts on their website, it will only allow me to transfer funds to my external linked account. Do I really need to transfer out and then back in to get funds across?

No, but unless they were linked when you initially opened that latest account you will have to add it as a new payee so it pops up in the quick transfer box.

I think the OP is correct. I have recently opened one of these accounts and could only transfer into my linked account (albeit an A&L current account) online. I suspect if you called them they would transfer it direct.

Yes, I rang them and they did just that transfered it over without having to transfer to my linked account then out again. Is just took a few days but dont panic if you see it having left one account and nothing registered for a new one. It takes a little while but it wont disappear into the ether!

When I opened my A & L on line saver, a few weeks ago, I was offered a current account which I think paid 6% on balances up to £2.5k, and 0.5% on anything above for one year. The account had to be funded with £500 per month, but I was told that this account allowed instant transfers to and from other A & L accounts.
