Anyone Thrown Any Light On This Problem - BT v Virgin

We have a BT landline.

When some people try to ring us, they are getting the message "this number is unobtainable" - and we've worked out that those people who are having a problem getting through, are all with Virgin?

It would seem that those who aren't with Virgin are getting through ok.

Can anyone throw any light on this at all please?

Probably a network fault on switch
Is you telephone number a BT number or a ported number from another provider? (virgin etc)

Thanks for replying.

Our landline number is a BT number, always has been as far as I'm aware before we moved here a good few years ago.

The certain callers who are unable to get through to us are all on Virgin.
