Hi,
I'm after a little bit of advice regarding DHL and wonder if anyone here can help?
Basically I won a Magners Taste kit that I didn't know about, and arrived home to find a DHL card pushed through the letter box stating that it had been delivered to a neighbours house.
I went round and found 1 box has been delivered but it says "1 of 2" and my neighbours have told me that the driver just thrust the box in the lady's hand and said "please sign for this one box" and promptly left. He didn't even remove any of the stickers on the label to stick on the delivery card. And it's the cider that's missing!!
I have rung DHL as soon as I found out at around 5.30pm today and have been on hold for approx 20 mins on and off. At 5.50pm the phone was answered and slammed down cutting me off and when I rung straight back I got the "sorry we are closed message"
I have been on the website to look for a complaints form but the site is confusing and I can't find anything to fill in.
Please can some one point me in the right direction especially as DH has just gone mad because all he's fussed about is the fact that I may have run up a big phone bill. He reckons it isn't worth persuing, but for me it's the principal that someone perhaps hasn't done his job correctly.
BTW how much is it per minute to ring a carrier service??
Thanks for any replies in advance. :T

Might be worth getting the company you won it from involved as well.

You may do better by contacting the company who sent the goods to tell them what happened and then maybe they'll pursue this for you. How annoying though, not getting the cider.0

The box could have been left on the van but it could be easier to give the company you won it from a call and say you have received box 1 of 2 but number 2 is no where to be seen0

Chase to company & complain about DHL & the cost of the call
On some mobiles its 50P a min
There is a customer services email addy somewher on the DHL site -although its really poor to navigate & find
Gnever take advice from broke or unsuccessful people

Hi
have you checked for a parcel number on the box? as you can track parcels at
http://
track.dhl.co.uk/tracking/
then click on By Ident Code
if you contact DHL, they should be able to tell you from the parcel number and your postcode how many boxes should have been delivered.0 -
hiya
I'm having the same problem *sigh*
I've recieved the glass and T Shirt, no sign of the cider
I've checked DHL's tracking on thier website, thats showing its been delivered, I know damn well it hasn't
tried ringing DHL and you just get stuck on hold for hours
ooh managed to get through and DHL say they haven't been given anything from Magners to deliver to me and I now need to contact Magners
I hate it when you get the run around after winning a prizeThis will (hopefully) be mine No 131Cash, Laptop, Iphone 3GS0 -
I have noticed through getting lots of deliveries from DHL of late that they actually use local folk to be couriers - they even advertise it on their calling cards - so it could be either still at the depot and not given to the home courier or the courier has got it.
Though its a suprise how 2 posters have not got cider but the other gifts, how would they know the other box was full of cider with out any marks on the box you have got showing it has attempted to have been opened...
maybe magners just didnt send it.one of the famous 50
