I thought benifits had to be paid in to an account in your own name. I am trying to find a number so i can have mine paid by giro for a month but can not find a payments customer service number. If anyone knows it please post and let us know.

    Thanks

Sorry to hijack your thread, but why do you need to empty your cashminder account on the day of BR, I thought it was OK as long as you only had enough for living expenses.

i think if you are going bankrupt its better to have no money in any accounts because the OR can take it from what i have been told

I understand that, but surely he has to leave you something to live on.

I left my money where it was...in my two cashminder accounts.....some OR's can take over a month to contact your bank..

The OR doesn't 'take' your bank acount money...simply can freeze the account until the OR has had time to determine whether the contents form an interest.

The OR may already have access to your initial SOA so will know how much is needed to live on.

However, if your bank account usually has a few thousand sitting in it, then if left, the OR will get quite perky.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......
