i have missed 5 of my payments. must say barclays are the worst ring my non stop.
how do i find my local CAB, ive decided if i want peace of mind i need to do this sooner than later.
i paid all my bills this month on credit card....feel awful.
my journey started from the day i missed my first payment.
if the mortgage is joint do i have to tell the building society anything, i want to keep the house as partner is paying the mortgage?
i hope i cant keep my house

no you dont have to tell the building society, is there any equity in your property?0

not sure havnt got round to getting valuation done. i hope there isnt. even if there is im still going to go ahead with this.0

best if you get some estate agent valuations done for a 'quick sale basis' you will also need to know how much remains on your mortgage and if any early redemption charges would apply.
Seems you have taken the hardest step, things will get easier though!0 -
i am going to do that... getting valuations done this week.
i am so scared to answer the phone, as banks have started to call me
also need to start saving for the fees.
will i have to pay to get valuations done0 -
no you should be able to get estate agents to do it for free, make some story up like you need to sell quick due to hubby getting a new job...
ignore the phone, or if you do answer tell them you want them to contact you by post.0 -
ive decided not to answer.
is it ok if i use my partners accounts details for benefits and mat allowance until i can open an account after bankruptcy0 -
yes should be fine, you can open a co-op cash minder, make sure it is empty on the date of teh BR and it should be ok to carry on using afterwards0

Hi Shabana,
Do you have a date in mind for BR? What you could do is to tell the creditors when they call is that you are seeking help from the CAB & that you are going / have gone for your drop in appt and you are now waiting for a date for the money advisor. Just say that there is a 2 mth wait and that you will write to them to conf the date.
I told the ones that hasselled me the nost that my appt was the date of my br hearing. They left me allone till then, then when they did call I just told them that I was br.BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -
as soon i have the money...first of all i need to contact CAB0

To find your local CAB you can locate via your postcode.
Hope this helps,
