eBay Discount Voucher & 4x Points Bad Timing....

Options
Ha,

I had a discount voucher for 10% off anything that I bought in Clothing, Shoes and Accessories, I don't know how long I had it for as I noticed it by accident and it expired on Thursday the 22nd. Obviously this could only be applied at the point of payment....

Some items I was watching and planning to bid in on that category were ending on Sunday the 25th and I ended up totalling about £120 with all my purchases.

This morning I see that eBay are offering 4x points from the 26th onwards however they do not apply to auctions ending prior to that date even if the payment was made on the 26th (as I found out when I paid for a couple of the items this morning)

Call me cynical but I am starting to think they are doing it on purpose, knowing the content of my watch list, what I have bought and when!

Like Tesco points, you get a penny value for each pound you spend and then they "send" you a voucher every three months.

It started about 4 months ago, not sure if everyone was "invited" but I assumed they were.....

So my £120 could have been worth 480 points or £4.80 off......

Everytime I get a voucher there is nothing I want but as soon as it expires there is something I want to buy. Its a shame you can not sell them.

Is there anywhere/way you can check the details of this on the eBay site? Like how many points you've accumulated?

I've had vouchers in the past and just figured they were a one off and by the way, totally agree with you. I had them when there was nothing to use them on before they expired but they would have come in very very handy had I had time at a more appropriate time.

The number of points that I have is shown at the top of "My eBay" along with the "You have voucher(s)" message when applicable.

Clicking on the points total takes me through to a page where I can see all the qualifying spends.

I have ebay plus on one account and not on the other. When it first started it said it was for selected users only.
