Maximum gross weight in upper floor

Does anyone knows the max weight per unit area in the upper floor of a residental house? I'm asking as I would like to soundproof the upper floor (bderoom) and it requires alot of layers of soundproof mat, totalling 45kg/m square. That weight is before any furniture in the bedroom.

A modern domestic building should take 1.5kN per m square. That does not really answer the question!

Edit:- The above figure is taken from the TRADA tables for structural timber specification, so I am happy with that.

This is my best guess 1.5kN / 9.8 (thats grabity) = 153kg per sq meter. presuming you house is not on the moon.

Remember a bath full of water weighs may be 270kg plus a 70kg person over about 2 square meters
