That's usually a big enough change to warrant a refund.
Ask them.0 -
What do the terms and conditions say?0

Surely you can just say these dates don't suit you ?travelover0

Regardless of what the T&Cs say 2 days is a significant change to your holiday, therefore you are entitled by UK & EU law to a full refund
And I would check the T&Cs as the bit you mention is, I suspect, the T&Cs covering if YOU cancel the holiday - and if it's less than 56 days before you travel they may have to pay you compensation in addition to the refund
Thomas Cook FLIGHTS T&Cs - but the package holiday T&Cs should be similar0 -

So, prove it!!!
Surely you can come up with something?
Wasn't there a reason for flying on the earlier date that you will now miss; or something that you have to attend back here the day after you were due to return?0 -
you can get a refund yeahI am a Travel Agent
My company’s ABTA numbers are P6046. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.0 -
You dont need to prove it. Its a big enough change to justify a full refund.0

Changing your departure date will always be regarded as a 'major change' to the holiday. There is no doubt that you are entitled to a full refund.
You have been lucky though. Don't mention anything about having had second thoughts. Just learn from the experience and pocket the refund.0
