Undercharded for ring resizing?

I took my (platinum) engagement ring and wedding ring to be resized (made bigger by 1 1/2 sizes) to a local jewellers. I had previously spoken to the jewellers on the phone and they quoted my £50. I believed this to be per ring. When I actually took the ring in she told me that it was going to be £75 as I was going up an extra half size. I told her that she had quoted me £50 over the phone and she then said that she would do it for £55. I then asked if I needed to pay now or when I collected the rings and she said I should pay now and went off to get the credit card pin machine. When she came back she had already inputed the price and when I was putting my pin number in I noticed that the total price was £55, not the £110 I was expecting for both rings. The invoice clearly states that I am paying for two platinum rings to be sized up by 1 1/2 sizes.

Does this sound like I am paying too little? If they have undercharged me can they try and charge me more when I go to collect them?

Sounds about right to me, but generally if you take them back to the place you bought them from they should do it FOC - at least the first time anyway.

Thanks Moonbeam, I got the engagement ring from Beaverbrooks and the wedding band from Hatton Garden. Beaverbrooks wouldn't resize my wedding band as it wasn't bought off them. I didn't want to send them to different jewellers just in case!

£55 sounds about right for resizing two rings.
