Dangling Spotlight!

We've had some work done on the central heating system and the plumber has been up in the loft. Finished now but he has left a spotlight dangling from the ceiling - presumably it was in his way upstairs
I can see there are spring type arms on the spotlight but how do I pop it back in? Have tried from below but it just pops out again. Do I have to be up in the loft?

The springs may be used to hold the spot in place.
Take the springs out and see if they can be replaced after putting the spot back in.
