Travel Insurance with Skiing if you are 70+

I am finding it increasingly difficult to get Multi-trip Worldwide Travel insurance with Winter Sports Cover.

If I apply on line the system throws a wobbly as soon as I enter my age (70) and Winter Sports and I am told to apply by phone. When I apply by phone all the companies I have tried make me listen to a long spiel about data protection and fraud prevention before telling me that they either don't want to quote or wish to charge me many hundreds of pounds.

Last year I was able to get insurance for just over £100. Now I am being quoted £400+

Any suggestions?
