Moon Beever Query?

Hi all,

Just received a letter from Moon Beever for DH about his nil tax IPA.

They are requesting last 3 wage slips and all future ones too. I have got Octs and Sept but Augusts is with the OR although I have a photocopy of it.

Does anyone know if MB accept copies? If they do I would rather send copies of all the payslips and keep the originals, not sure if thats acceptable?

Once they set the payment amount do they change it if you get a payrise and are paying more tax?

Also will the nil tax code definitely finish in March 2010 or can it continue so they get more back towards your BR?

Any help appreciated as always

Once they set the payment amount do they change it if you get a payrise and are paying more tax? yes, which is why they [or RTLU] need to be notified of overtime, etc, or payrises....if o/time only occasional, they will inform you of what the immediate payment should be, but tell you to only pay their original demand if only basic pay is received

Also will the nil tax code definitely finish in March 2010 or can it continue so they get more back towards your BR? NT only lasts for current tax year [subject to cetain job provisos], so you will receive a new tax code next tax year..the NT IPA stops at that point.

    Any help appreciated as always

hi angie like alistair there is no problem sending photocopies .. actually my other half only sent only copies of his payslip so if they get lost in the post well he still had the original . moon beever didnt mind at all , they always sent it back anyway.
regarding the NIl tax code yes they finish in 5 april 200x but beware to make sure that you revert back to a full tax code as often people fail to check this and are landed with a hefty tax bill to repay.

    Hi Gaz,

Moon Beever are the solicitors who are appointed by the IS to collect IPA payments (both surplus IPAs and NT IPAs).

But they don't always get in touch!!! I've got my AD now and they still haven't asked for the tax I have collected and yes it's still sitting in my account. But I intend to move it too a savings account in the next week or two. And I've decided to get off the naughty step - it's the or who should be sitting on it not me!! Thanks everyone for all the help over the last year - wow it went quickly!

Heyho! It's been suggested to me by someone else on the br board that the chances are that since the tax collected was for 2008/09 they probably won't come looking but I promise I won't spend it until this time next year!!
