Cologne Airport to Christmas Markets

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get to the main Christmas markets from Cologne airport. Have the option of doing a very long day trip and just wonder how easy it would be to get to the markets by train or any other public transport?

    Very easy

    There's a local train every 20 minutes from the airport to the main station in Cologne. Takes 15 minutes, 2 euros each way.

    About 2 minutes walk from the station to the start of the Christmas market

    Have sent you a PM. Have used Easy Jet for various Christmas markets over the past few years and they have been fine.
