Hi,
Need help in getting a Cooker. I seem to remember that most of the companies are all one these days , with a different sticker on the front. has anyone any info on this & advise on the best to get.
Thanks in anticipation.

I'm in the market for a new cooker as well, what type are you after? built in or free standing, gas or electric etc etc.
We've got this place in Coventry called 'Thursday and co' (or something like that) so called because they're only open thursday, friday and saturday. They sell off all the excess stock, shop soiled etc stuff from MFI. They do Siemens, Smeg, Bosch etc etc. I'm after getting a 70cm Smeg free standing cooker for £600, the cheapest I can find it online it £1100 and rrp is like £1400 or so.
I really like the look of these 'Lofra' ovens I've started seeing around, it's 'Italy's No.1 cooker brand' apparently and they look really smart and for the spec they're reasonably priced and you get a 5 year guarentee.0 -
Is it just pot luck what u get or do you stand a good chance of getting what u want ?
do you know if they have any similar stores closer to London ?

Thanks,
Should of explained a litle more. I'm looing for a replacement for a built in, cooker & hob. I also want it to be electric, as the previous one was & I prefer cooking on it.
I will look into the Italian make, especially with a 5 year guarantee.
I thought that I had read in the past that there were only a couple of companies around now, however they had multi brands. I don't want to pay for a 'name' when its ecentially the same cooker with a different logo, at an inflated price.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0
