Good luck to everyone doing this. I have no debts, but did this same challenge a few years ago. I desperately wanted to apy off my mortgage as I am a single mum and was insecure employment at the time. I was scared I may loose my home if I didn't have enough work, so did what you are doing. I did pay off the mortgage.

Try being volunteer driver on night out, then everyone buys you softies.

Going to need fruit and veg today but will try local greengrocer instead of evil supermarket. Trying for a fiver or under.

I'm usually brazen and say I'll get my own cos I'm not drinking. No one has ever minded, I don't have to say why, and I come home £20 richer and with a clear head tomorrow.

Or suggest a kitty. £20 for drinkers,£10 for non.

I'm with Emmzi, I am usually brazen or, when everyone is drinking I suggest a kitty, money always seems to last longer that way and is fair on everyone (there is always one in every group isn't there??). we usually spend any change on lottery tickets.

Been working away a bit and haven't spent anything I can't reclaim on expenses! So..had £125.95 left. Still do, but it's up to a whopping £6 a day!!! Woohoo! Should really takea fiver off for meals work have been paying for but I'm NOT GONNA!

Having listed everything in store cupboard, no excuse for buying anything but fruit and veg really. However I usually throw away a lot in summer (heat wilt etc) so will buy loose instead of prepacked and get tiny amounts.

STILL waiting for ciao money!! which is for VODKA
