I brought a set of 3 new cordless phones yesterday, it says they must be charged for 24 hours before use is this really true?

Playtime! They should be OK to use by now.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

They've now been charging for 19 and a half hours....I dunno how im managing to not touch them LOL0

They will be OK now, the 24 hours is only a figure that they pluck out of the air, many phone manufacturers suggest 16 hours initial charge and they all use similar batteries.0

They charged for 22 hours in the end before I gave up waiting
