Things to do near Cadbury World/Birmingham

I'm going to be booking tickets to Cadbury World, it is likely that we will travel up and staying for 2 nights/3 days. As Cadbury World will only take a day, however, does anyone have any suggestions as to another day out in and around the Cadbury World or, indeed, Birmingham area? We will have a car.
Cheers, Birdy

I would recommend either the Sea Life Centre, which has a two for one voucher available here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1486355 or ThinkTank, both of which are in the centre of Birmingham. The canal area of the city has been 'done up' over the last few years and there are some lovely cafes around there now. The Bull Ring is the large shopping centre and is very good for a couple of hours, but becomes a bit claustrophobic soon after.
You say you have a car, so another option is the Black Country Museum at Dudley, which is great for all ages. There is also Sutton Park, which is one of the largest parks in Europe. Try this site http://www.visitbirmingham.com/0 -
We did something similar. The Black Country Museum was very good, especially if you have children.

I would definitely take a trip to Warwickshire, Stratford-upon-Avon etc if you have the time. Its a few miles out but may be worth it if Birmingham is far enough from home to spend several nights away.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
