Hi everyone thanks in advance for your help !
I'mtrying to claim back some mis sold ppi on old loans that are long paid off, however i have no paperwork for any of them, so i've drafted a letter to each lender, just wanted to know if I've done it right before i send them off. Letters as follow:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to request a copy of my original loan agreement with xxxxxxxxxxxx. If the original loan agreement does not include details of the insurance added to the account, such as the number and cost of any monthly payments or any lump sum fees and interest charges applicable to this fee, please attach or advise how I can get access to this information.
In order to assist you in gathering the relevant information, the loan was taken out on xxxxxxxx and was settled on xxxxxxxx, my date of birth is xxxxxxxx, and my previous addresses were as follows:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx
I also enclose a cheque for £10 to cover your fee.
I look forward to your response within 40 days, as is obliged under the Data Protection Act 1998. If not I shall seek remedy from the Information Commissioner.
Yours faithfully,
The dates i found on my experian report but sadly there aren't any account numbers on there, although there are monthly payments and term.
Any help and/or advice is gratefully appreciated
