Hello everyone!
I wonder if you could offer me some good advice please. I am trying to organise a charity auction to raise money for my local Age Concern. We would like to auction signed football shirts or something along those lines and already know that we can get a free listing on ebay. ( I thought of football memorabilia so that we can take advantage of the world cup hype)
What I would like to know is how do I begin to ask for prizes? Should I write directly to the footballers agents or to the football clubs? I have sold on ebay before but not on this scale so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
edit: p.s I would really appreciate any contact names / addresses anyone is willing to supply. Please could you pm these to me. Thanks Sam

Hi Sam,
firstly good luck with your auction.
There is another thread on this board relating to auctions if you look down that may be of help to you...I think it was posted by geniusmum.
Also whenever I have asked for items to auction/raffle I have always sent a letter first and then followed it up with a phone call to speak in person.0 -
There was another thread on the same subject this week here:
