QVC Web Ordering Warning

For anyone using QVC web ordering - please check your orders for the delivery address.

I placed an order to be delivered to my work address which was not delivered.
The time I was going to chase the order I received a letter by QVC to call them.
I checked my order online to discover my order had been sent to a completely different name and address.

The (frankly uninterested) woman on the phone did not explain why they sent me a letter, and was completely unable to ensure the delivery would not be another 7-10 days or even to my work address.

So anyone who orders online from QVC please double check your orders.
I got no explanation at all of why the supposedly secure website managed to capture a completely different delivery address, which also raises concern about the rest of my online data.

QVC have lost this customer - when they get it wrong they have been very poor at sorting things out or offering any kind of consolation or effort to put things right.

Hope this helps somebody.

Jill

It does state on their website:
Unfortunately we can’t send orders made through QCut or Premium deliveries to alternative addresses.

Did you use either of these services?

A lot of companies also wont send a first order to an alternative address as a counter fraud mechanism though QVC dont appear to mention this on their site.

No I didn't - I can only get deliveries to my work address either by phoning them directly or as I did in this case - online Web ordering.
I have been dealing with QVC for a number of years. Because I've never had any problem ordering online from them, and because they now offer 'my account' online access to order information, I stupidly did not take a screen dump of the address I input to verify it and take it further, because I know full well they will say it's user error.
As a systems analyst working with both public and industry clients, it's beyond belief that their web system can fabricate a different address, and to add insult they don't seem to give a damn about it.
