Bank sending personal details to old address??

Hi there, we changed address in july and although the bank got part of our address wrong, it was almost correct. It was recently corrected fully.
We just got mail passed on from a neighbour with a letter from the bank detailing our full debit card numbers to our old address! despite the address being changed since july?!
How could this possibly happen? and what can we do about this? we have contacted them about two instances of chip & pin fraud on our cards which happened LAST YEAR and we still havnt had that money refunded to us!! now this?! no wonder theres been unauthorised direct debits etc set up on the account.
any tips on how to get them to sort this out? its one thin after the other

I also complained to the Data Protection people that I did not feel my data was being cared for properly as my address change had not been correctly processed which had inadvertently revealed my data.
They wrote to the financial institution and asked them to improve their processes.0 -
I have no idea why you would want to stay with them.I have a deep burning indifference0

At the moment, we cannot get an account with anyone else and no idea as we have good credit rating and a good income, no debts (which may be the problem really) but then we dont want any!Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!

Hi OP,
If you want to stay with this bank, please shift your bank statements to go paperless and switch to online banking.
That way, you wont get your private details sent to any tom, !!!!!! or harry.
Also you wont get pointless letters every month knowing full well whats been going on in your account. Plus its good for the environment.

We had this before and found our statements changed online. One day I downloaded a statement to give into benefits, printed it off and on the same day took out any remaining money, next day they said when I took the money out the bank was overdrawn, which it wasnt and the statement shows that! so we went to paper billing for proof. We also dont use the online balance, because it has been wrong before and caused us to be charged - instead we print off a statement from bank before taking money out, as on two seperate occasions the ATM has been wrong and we have taken money out that wasnt in, thinking a payment we had been expecting was in when it wasnt - they didnt believe us until we showed them printed statement! not all atms are correct!Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!

hi, I had this too.. My reasons for my anger are probably different to yours, but it is still a big fault on their part..

Well I complained and today I got a letter back basically saying, they will train their staff better and sorry.. That was it, but like the replies I had from here, looks like I'll just have to accept it. I am furious though..
I'd complain if I were you.. good luckHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

It is part of a clear conspiracy by the inner workings of British banking to cause you upset and risk a massive fraud on your account. It is a deliberate act and we should all be on our guard. We just got mail passed on from a neighbour with a letter from the bank detailing our full debit card numbers to our old address! despite the address being changed since july?!
How could this possibly happen?
Either that or someone made a mistake. Bank staff are, believe it or not, human, often under pressure and generally speaking low paid.
Complain and specifically ask for compensation. A modest amount should cover it. If they refuse payment then escalate the complaint.and what can we do about this?
Why not? Do they not believe it's fraud? There must be an explanation.we have contacted them about two instances of chip & pin fraud on our cards which happened LAST YEAR and we still havnt had that money refunded to us!!
When were these set up? Are you accusing your neighbour of doing this?now this?! no wonder theres been unauthorised direct debits etc set up on the account.0 -

We had a shared mailbox with around 10 other households, one of which was a drug dealer and another which had been suspected of stealing mail before, especially tescos vouchers :S
but then again....no proof!Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!
