DS3 has eaten my dinner! He didn't want any so I got a portion of mince out of the freezer and heated it up for me and he came into the kitchen and said I didn't know mince was a choice so I let him have it and had cold chicken instead - not as nice but never mind.
I need to sort out bedtime now and then collapse.
The state of the house is truly shocking!
Jinky - thanks for the hugs sweetieThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Good evening everyone  Sorry for not engaging this week
it's been half term and I'm rushed off my feet. With DH away, I'm not sleeping well either, and am now shattered.
I went to Old Trafford today for a meeting, and we got to see the pitch from the Directors' box :T I wondered if Posh Spice had sat on the same seat as meThe meeting was good, but the travel was diabolical - why did the organisers get us to schlep out to Old Trafford when we could easily have had it in a hotel in the city centre
That was a 12 hour day, and I'm ready to drop
I'm taking the children to Liverpool for the weekend, so I'm looking forward to lots of rest, good food, great company, and some art galleries
Hugs for everyone - Dusty make sure you send a big stick for that dog.

Have got a Halloween party to do on Sat so must do cupcakes tomorrow so can ice them Sat am. Do you think they will be ok greenbee if I dont freeze them seeing as they will only be in airtight box for a day? (and no I still havent been to the gym, oh the shame:o)
As pigpen says, the cupcakes will be absolutely fine (in fact, it's a good idea to leave them for 24 hours before you ice them anyway, it doesn't work so well if they're really fresh). However, the gym needs your attention
Had sports massage again this morning, so I hurt. Worked late, so am currently eating supper, then need to tidy the kitchen and get my stuff ready for tomorrow...
Oh yes - I went into the garage today as my car's been making a funny noise for a few days (probably longer, but I usually have the radio on), and it needs a new disk, pad and caliper on one wheel... Still, it's not a disaster, and I'm so pleased I have someone I can call up and say 'my car's making a funny noise' and they'll look at it - I'd never have got round to making an appointment to have it checked out and then another for it to be dealt with! They ordered the parts while I was there AND made sure I put the appointment in my diary!0 -
Good evening all,
I had a complete change of plan today. Thursday is DH's day off, and when I'm on holiday he wants to go out somewhere, usually involving some shopping centre or other  (he's definitely not OS!). On the other hand, he keeps asking me when the house will be sorted... I had hoped to stay in during the morning and then go out after lunch, taking DS2 to the cinema for the first time, but DS1 and I didn't get back from the doctor's until 11am and there didn't seem to be much point in staying in after that.
DS2 had a headache, so we stayed local and I splashed out on an incinerator, because my shredder is pathetic and I've got huge amounts of old paperwork. DS1 was feeling unwell, and we decided to go out again, to get his eyes tested. I thought we'd also do all other jobs outside the house. We managed most and I can hopefully concentrate on the house until we go back to school on Monday.
Thursday’s extras:
WM x 2 (more if the weather allows)
DW x1
2 hours work for school every day
Listen to DS2 read/writing practice
Do tea and clear up
Make chicken soup in SC
Phone DS2’s friend to see if he wants to come for an afternoon or so
Find and try out some slow cooker recipes
Batch cook 2 diet meals
Doctor’s appointments DS1 and myself
Collect prescriptions
Take DS2 to see ‘up’ – DS2 had a headache, therefore postponed cinema trip
Research car tire deals
Organize Halloween outfits – started, needs finishing
bought incinerator to avoid lengthy shredding
eye test for DS1
sort DS1’s mobile phone (not working properly)
Haircut DS2
Set up new calendar and diary
strain chicken stock from slow cooker and skim fat off
tidy kitchen after baking session
Rather than trying to get the 3 reasonably tidy rooms perfect, which hasn't worked so far, I'll have a go at doing L1 in all rooms, as well as S&S kitchen and bathroom, with anything else thrown in that's easy and quick to achieve. I might just get on to decorating DS1's room.
My organised mum order came today, so I'll spend most of the evening sorting out my diary/calendar and post a list later. Also start chicken soup in SC.
Hope everyone is ok, since I only read odd pages of the thread.0
