Bit late on my Tax/MOT

Hi, My Tax runs out end of this month, and MOT on Sunday. Leaving things to the last minute, in my usual style, I have tried today to book an MOT for today or tomorrow. Not surprisingly, no-one can do it in time. Could someone tell me how long i've got until i get a fine for not having either road tax or SORN? Thanks Paul

There was no need to SORN it, you dont **HAVE** to tax it before it runs out it can be done 2weeks after with no problem, it can also be done 3 weeks after and even into the 4th week, but leaving it till the 4th week is really pushing your luck. They only chase up cars which exceed 30 days of being untaxed. But you've SORN'ed it now which is fine.
