disputed transactions on Barclaycard

in Credit cards
Hello all,
I do hope that I am posting this under the right section.
I ordered some cosmetics from !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! back in September.
I placed four separate orders, none of which have arrived.
When I went to pay a message came up saying I had a Paypal account and did I want to login and pay through that. I used the Paypal account a few years ago and couldn't remember my login details and so just paid as I thought, normally, on my credit card.
At first I thought it was the postal strike that was causing the delay with my goods. But I have not been able to get a reply to any of my emails to the site. The Telephone number they quote is no longer in service and their "live help" on the site is always offline.
However when I tried to place a disputed transaction with Barclaycard they said that I must go directly to paypal. I did this but had to use a helpline that was £1.50 per minute and they were useless and seemed to be trying to keep me talking on there for a long as possible. My problem was that only one of the transactions was showing on the paypal account.(i found this out after going through the rigmarole of resetting my password and so on). So I called Barclaycard back and they are now sending me a disputed transactions form. Unfortunately the money I spent is about £80. Sorry for the long rambling post but I am so angry and frustrated at having taken all Sunday evening trying to get this sorted out and I am no further forward. I just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience and might be able to offer me some advice.
thankyou

Paypal strikes once again.
I never use this organisation and from what I have read it is best avoided like the plague.
It would appear that the use of Paypal negates your right to making a Section 75 claim through your Card Provider, because as far as the Card Provider is concerned you have simply deposited the funds in a Paypal account. What happened to those funds from then on is nothing to do with them, hence your claim is with Paypal who appear most unhelpful.
I would push for a refund from them, but from others stories on here I wouldn't rate your chances. Sorry.0 -
Thankyou Nick, I am not very hopeful. But my point is I didn't actually use paypal (if you see what I mean). Does anyone know how you actually contact them as I couldn't even see a clear way to do that once I had logged onto the account. I will give it 4 weeks to try and see if I can get a refund and then I will close the account. That should protect me from this type of problem in the future shouldn't it?0

Even if you had paid directly by credit card rather than via Paypal, the fact that the transations were under £100 would mean that Section 75 protection wasn't applicable anyhow...0

Oh well at least I have learnt something new. I didn't know there was a £100 cut off. I am so angry with myself. I have just read about 70 bad reviews on the cosmetics website concerned and they all just a repeat of my own experience. Does anyone know who you can go to about a dodgy website. Can they just get away with this, I wonder?0
