I bought one of the BT Dells and now I have a problem playing video streams off the internet.
The images appear to be solarized or similar to heat detection camera footage, with all the colours blocky and wrong.
Sorry if this is vague but I'm not sure how else to discribe it. I've been using Windows Media Player.
DVD's seem to play fine.
Any suggestions please?

is it a specific website that you are using to connect to the video stream? it may be worthwhile posting the url to the sourse so that it can be checked out by another person. it may not be your pc but the source material.

It seems to be all that I've come across, for example

this played fine on my other pc yesterday, but doesn't now, any ideas, thanks?0 -
Plays ok mine also, this opened up in windows media player,is that your default player?
Could it be something to do with the player software?
Did it play throught he same software on your other pc?0 -
Hi, yes it launches WMA, but plays in luminous "negative" colours, similar to one of the heat seeking camera images0

Sounds like it could be codec problem. Try installing the latest WMP codecsBlessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0

The weird thing is that if I just click on WMA whilst connected to web, I can play the Xmen trailer on there no problem. Aaaaargh, getting frustrated!0

Excellent - Result, thanks to everyone for their advice, the codec (whatever that is !!!) did the trick0 -
just for future reference, the K-Lite Codec pack is a real quick easy way to keep on top of WMP codecs.

Glad you sorted and even more glad you posted the solution.
Really gets my back up some times when peolple post and lots of users reply and go out of there way to help only to find they never come back to the thread and say what if any was the out come.
Maybe thats just me though.

I totally agree, I dislike it when people don't thank other posters that have gone out of their way to help and if someone posts a solution it may well help other with a similar problem in future, so if you don't say it's fixed how will they know?0
