The good thing with the official website is that you can get stuff from outside the UK.
We've ordered some bits from them that were only available in Japan, and they've arrived in Japanese packaging.
Also, if you look to import, in the US they are known as Calico Critters.0 -
valueland have 20% off sylvanians until the 16th

Not that great in terms of deals.
I picked up the Motorcycle and sidecar in John Lewis for £19.95 a couple of weeks ago, yet Valueland are claiming it's £19.99 after discount.0 -
I don't know if this helps anyone but Toysrus have the Old Oak Tree House reduced from £85 to £65 just now. Only available for store collection and the only 2 stores in Scotland to have it are Kirkcaldy and Edinburgh (there were a few more English stores but I didn't look at them). Plus, wher you spen £40 or more on Sylvanian stuff, you get the Koala family free.
I've just reserved one from Kirkcaldy but they still have 2 left and Edinburgh have 6 or more left.
I'll have 1 very happy daughter at Christmas!

What houses appeal to your child and what age are they? Just trying to weigh up which would be a better house to begin with, any feedback appreciated. Thanks0

My daughter is 6 and we (I means she) have the Grand Hotel, Oakwood Manor and the Treehouse amongst other things. I think if you really want a house that you can actually play with/and build on you are better with one of the bigger house as the furniture actually fits and it gives you opportunity to move things around - some of the smaller houses only fit a few items. My favourite is the Oakwood manor/Hilltop Manor. See link:

Though my daughter likes the treehouse, I find it quite dark and because it's round a bit awkward for furniture. I love the hotel but it's a bit bigger again, and not good for moving about.
Had some really good buys for furniture at Play, just keep watching for changing prices. Also last year Argos did a couple of items 1/2 price and others reduced (nearer Xmas) so watch out for this. The Hut has some good prices on a couple of the bigger things and they are usually codes floating about.
Happy to answer any questions, sizes etc0 -

I like the 'we' I often get carried away buying what I like instead of through the eyes of a 3 year old :rotfl:
I was going to go for the hotel, but 1, we have limited space and it seems huge 2, I still have a brand new dolls house from the John lewis deal earlier this year. I've just ordered the Beechwood Hall with clubcard double up, thinking with the add on conservatory it should be a good place to start? I also have the Rose cottage like new in my loft, as my stepson went through a sylvanian phase and played with it for the whole of 1 weekend! I thought as the colours match it would look quite nice all together. What do you think? And would this be ok size wise? My dd will only be 4 when she has this so there's years to expand or upgrade later to a hotel, but do you think I've made a good choice?0 -

It's out of stock I saw the link last week on uk hotdeals but can't find it now. I tried to buy it online but oos. Yes some stores have them probably worth calling your store to check. hope this helps. Plus if you get instore use the £5 voucher.0 -
