Do sylvanian go half price very often?

I hope so! My DD has decided that she loves her Sylvanian things now and wants to build on her set. Fingers crossed!

Its my own silly fault, I was thinking was it a waste of money this side of xmas when I have other more important things to buy seeing as I don't need it yet but half price was a really good deal I can't believe I didn't buy anything they had some really nice bits I wish I'd at least bought the car! I am hoping that some other good deals come up and I'm not going to dither as even if I keep them till next christmas it will save me money in the long run.

Not really in my experience :( It is DD's first year of Sylvanians but my nieces have been in to them for a while - according to my sister it's rare to get them that discounted as they are always a popular choice.

Will keep eyes open though ;)

You won't often find Sylvanian famlies prices reduced dramatically. I managed to get a couple of bargains of Amazon half price that night they had their sale.

Another place to watch for SF bargains is Argos, although this doesn't happen often. I got Water Mill bakery for £23 last year and the canal boat at the beginning of this year for £22 (rrp £45) for dd's xmas this year. These were both instore bargains.

The official SF site is a good place to pick up nice pieces not often seen anywhere else, think they're mostly at rrp but p&p is free and they also sell imported items from US and Japan.

When Argos had their 3 for 2 sale a month or so ago, i managed to get my DD2 her birthday and xmas presents (her birthday at the end of Nov). I got the windmill the boat and the bus which she really wanted...i saved approx £40. So watch out for this sale during the year.
  • If you don't need it for this side of Christmas, then Boots sale is a good place, I got a few things there last year in the 50% off sale there was nothing left by the time it got to 75%. Got a large house type thing for £40ish half price, can't remember which one it is though. All my collection is in my loft for when my grand-daughters get a bit older (1 & 18 months), I have just been adding to it when I see things reduced but managed to stop myself this year as I have quite a bit now and don't even know if they will like it... but I will! :)

Not in my experience either :( My DDs have liked them and collected them for the past years.... we have a good collection but as they are always bringing out new additions there is always a set on someones wish list !!! However eldest DD is 13 now or started off the collection and although on the quiet she still loves playing with them couldnt have them on her wish lsit but still likes to make sure her siblings have them on theirs !!!!!
