Response from Thorntons Customer Services:
Hi xxxx
Many thanks for your email.
The Tesco Chocoholics hamper is indeed packed to a different specification to the current one available on Thorntons own website. The Tesco Clubcard Chocoholic hamper is just about to be re – launched and again the contents will be slightly different to the product we sell directly through our own website.
Please feel free to drop me an email if you require any further details.
Thanks and apologies
xxxx

I have just had a look and it has gone up to £26 in Tesco vouchers.
Even less worth it.

Indeed - I spotted that yesterday.
So I'll be spending my vouchers on a massage instead...

Afraid I did not notice that the voucher price for the Tesco Thorton's Hamper has increased from £20 to £26 this year but we were so impressed with the extensive range of chocs recieved last year that last month we ordered THREE hampers using up £78 worth of vouchers. Sadly the hampers recieved this year (quite prompt delivery) were considerably smaller that the one we got last year and much less glamourous - no swaithes of purple satin and in fact this years hamper box was merely an element of the selection sent last year. Have to say I feel rather disappointed and let down by Mr Tesco as the voucher price is probably not far off the retail price - although I'm sure the chocolates will be as excellent as ever. My advice is to purchase direct from the Thornton's website!0

Interestingly, the selection listed on the Tesco Clubcard website now is different to the one I commented on several weeks ago as being hugely inferior to Thornton's own. I don't doubt it IS still inferior, but from the list there appears to be more in it than the version of a few weeks ago.
