Christmas in Budapest?

Always wanted to go to Budapest and have found a reasonable deal for 2 adults over the Christmas period, (22-29th Dec). Just wondering what it would be like there at this time of year. Not looking for a 'Christmas' thing...just wondering what there would be to see and do/what would be open/where to eat etc - especially Chrimbo Day and Boxing Day?? (Just have flight + hotel with B & B in mind).
Any thoughts/guidance much appreciated before we book.
TIA
